“Let’s loosen up some time and take a break to recalibrate our life. We need no endless overthinking, though. Let’s just connect the dots, set the scene and steam ahead.” – Erik Pevernagie.
Apologies for the radio silence, folks, I hope you’re all doing OK. I know it’s been a while since I’ve published a post. September has turned out to be an exceptionally busy month for me, in what has been an extraordinarily busy year.
I make the mistake sometimes of thinking I can do it all. Weirdly, I’m often surprised to find out I can’t. I’d assumed I could keep up with my writing schedule this month as well as everything else but it turns out something had to give, and it was my blog that missed out.
Sometimes noticing we need to slow down, and giving ourselves permission to, is absolutely the best thing we can do. In these current times, looking after ourselves is not only desirable, it’s essential. So I’m deliberately slowing down and looking after myself for the rest of the month.
I look forward to seeing you all in October. In the meantime, take care of yourselves and stay safe.
With very best wishes
Julie 🌷

I hope this is a time of deep refreshing and renewal, Julie. I appreciate you modelling good boundaries, healthy self-respect and self-care. Sometimes life just gets too busy ….

Doesn’t it though? I don’t know about you but I can sometimes just get swept along by life until I realise I need to put my foot on the brake. It’s so important to slow down and breathe. Many thanks for your comment and your kind words.

That’s a good thing to do Juie. As long as we know where we are and where we are headed, Or even otherwise, it is okay to take the leg from the accelerator and put it on the break. Take care..

Thanks, Deepa. Yes, it’s good to recognise when life has been really hectic and demanding and that a slower pace is needed to recover. Good to hear from you – hope you’re OK.

Yes, it’s not good to live life permanently in 5th gear – it’s essential to drop down to 2nd frequently. Many thanks, Ann, hope you’re doing well.

Thank you for sharing!… WordPress is just a part of your universe, you do not want to neglect the rest of the universe… there are dreams to follow also… don’t want to close any doors to happiness!.. 🙂
Until we meet again..
May flowers always line your path
and sunshine light your way,
May songbirds serenade your
every step along the way,
May a rainbow run beside you
in a sky that’s always blue,
And may happiness fill your heart
each day your whole life through.
May the sun shine all day long
Everything go right, nothing go wrong
May those you love bring love back to you
And may all the wishes you wish come true
(Irish Saying)

I hear that, Karen. I feel like I’m struggling to keep up with everything – the image of spinning plates comes to mind. Grateful you were able to check in, though, and hope you’re doing OK.
